Galleria Moshe Tabibnia ospita Fondazione Antonio Ratti

In occasione di Milano MuseoCity 2025 la realtà della Galleria Moshe Tabibnia e della Fondazione Antonio Ratti si incontrano per dare luogo a una mostra dedicata al tessile antico. In mostra opere iconiche per tipologia e pattern decorativi nell’ambito della produzione tessile europea a cavallo tra 1400 e 1600. Elementi quali la melagrana, il cardo, la pigna dominano i repertori dei velluti, lampassi, broccatelli della Fondazione Ratti. Stessi motivi che troviamo trasposti nei tappeti annodati della Galleria Moshe Tabibnia che, nonostante le diverse tecniche, materiali e provenienze, posti in dialogo ben testimoniano la coralità di questo settore.

In occasion of Milano MuseoCity 2025, the Moshe Tabibnia Gallery and the Antonio Ratti Foundation come together to create an exhibition dedicated to antique textiles. The exhibition will comprehend iconic works in terms of typology and decorative patterns within the context of European textile production of the 1400s, 1500s and 1600s. Elements such as the pomegranate, the thistle and the pine cone dominate the patterns of the Ratti Foundation's velvets, lampas and brocatelle. We find the same motifs transposed in the knotted carpets of the Moshe Tabibnia Gallery, which, despite their different techniques, materials and provenance, when placed in dialogue bear witness to the choral nature of this sector.
